Alcotec 48 is an all-round "superyeast" for home spirit producers. It will ferment 13 pounds of normal sugar in a 6.5 gallon solution in 48 hours or less, even under difficult circumstances. Alcotec 48 works in temperatures up to 86 degrees F. It will produce clean alcohol, but you should still treat with activated carbon for optimum quality before mixing with essences.
